About this Print

THIS IS NOT AN ORIGINAL

Plume & Furrow is located in Longmont, CO and is owned by Kim and Grant, an awesome duo with an adorable baby. We first engaged with this farm by pressing their bridal arrangements for the brides who hired Kim and Grant to be their wedding florists. One after another, the bouquets were always so unique and colorful and we instantly fell in love with their work.  When we decided to do a Farm-to-Print series, it was an easy choice for us to reach out to them to ask if they would like to be one of the farms.  They now have a storefront in Longmont, CO.

We traveled to their farm during each season; Spring, Summer, and Fall.  Each time, buckets of freshly picked flowers would be waiting for us.  We'd then take them home and spend days pressing them because there were so many.  Honestly, it was a joy working with them and being able to walk through their flower fields.

As your eyes travel across this piece, you will find yourself looking at a very diverse, colorful collection of flowers.  This piece holds a special place for us as it was the first 30 x 40 inch original Keith made.  Creating a piece this large allowed Keith to experiment with design.  Thank you Kim and Grant for being so involved with us.

Flowers in this piece include but are not limited to: Zinnia, Echinacea, Hellebore, Poppy, Dahlia, Cosmo, Japanese Anemone, Poppy Pod, Ranunculus, Foxglove, Scabiosa, Columbine, Strawflower, Marigold, Carnation, Mum

    Additional Information

Frame Notes for Fine Art Giclée Prints

We print these doing a full bleed print (so no white border) on 308 gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag 100% cotton.

With a super matte finish, the paper allows for muted blacks, excellent detail and an even color reproduction. With its chalky smooth cotton base, texture is minimal which creates brilliant color gradients.

When we did frame them, we always gravitated to framing them without the use of mat, but it all comes down to personal preference. We have seen such amazing framed prints where customers did use a mat and it was stunning and so unique.

If you frame your print on your own, I would recommend using some sort of latex, nitrile, or lint free glove when handling the print, especially with the black prints. The other color prints you can get away with using your fingers (but wash them with soap and dry them before handling the prints), but with the black prints, you do want to be careful with the oil from your fingers on the black ink.

A local frame store can frame these pieces anyway you'd like, though it's oftentimes less expensive to buy your own frames online. We've listed some resources for sites where these frame sizes can be acquired.

The 19.75 x 27.5 inch (50 x 70cm) is a popular poster size and IKEA does sell those sized frames.

Opposite Wall also carries the 19.75 x 27.5 inch frames.

Postery also carries the 19.75 x 27.5 inch frames

This Etsy Seller has nice 24x32 inch frames.

And of course there is always Amazon.

Frame Notes for Fine Art Canvas Prints

The two larger sizes of 30x40 and 36x48 inch are being offered as an unstretched (rolled) canvas option.

Canvas used is Hahnemühle Cézanne Canvas and is an archival, acid and lignin-free canvas. 100% cotton, 430 gsm.

The unstretched canvas comes rolled in a tube that you can take to a local frame shop to be stretched. If you order an unstretched canvas, we recommend 0.9"-1" stretcher bars as you can hang it with just the bars or you can frame it in a float frame.

We started experimenting with canvas over a year ago and have completely fallen in love with it.

    Return Policy

Fine art print orders are printed to order, so returns are not accepted. This is not an original artwork of real pressed flowers. This is a print.

If your print is damaged in transit, or in the unlikely event it arrives with a defect, we will replace it.  You will need to contact us ASAP of receiving the print with pictures of the damage (print and packaging) for us to supply to the courier service and our printing partner to cover the insurance and arrange a free replacement.
